Approach and putting thresholds

In Approach & Putting Thresholds, the following colours are used to illustrate whether the arrival point of the ball from Approach and the subsequent Putting strokes were:

  • Bright Blue  – Exceptional Stroke or Putt
  • Light Blue  – Very Good Stroke or Putt
  • Light Green – Acceptable Stroke or Putt
  • Light Red  – Bad Stroke or Putt
  • Light Purple – Very Poor Stroke or Putt
  • Pink – Bad Approach Stroke (Missed green)

The colours Bright Blue, Light Blue, Light Green, Light Red, Light Purple, and Pink are applied to various degrees, to reflect this variation in skill in each Handicap level.

watchMynumbers has grouped golfers into handicap levels and used the colours applied to Dangerous Pin Placement – Approach Not Attacked (1) to reflect their skill levels for:

  • Professional & Elite Amateurs
  • 0 to   6
  • 7 to 12
  • 13 to 18
  • 19 to 27
  • 28 to 54

You can accept the Approach & Putting Thresholds created by watchMynumbers or create your own.

In the Reports Selection screen, watchMynumbers will apply the Thresholds you have assigned yourself when creating a round, however you can select any Threshold at any time.

For example, a player who is a 13 to 18 handicap golfer could see how their scorecard would look if they were a 7 to 12 handicap golfer.
