Negative (lower numbers) and Positive (higher numbers) are better

Negative lower numbers are Better – Using Gross Score as an example, a low number would represent a Good target result and a larger or higher number would represent a Poor target result.

In this instance, if the Gross Score was 68, this score would represent a Negative is better result. The lower the number, the better it is (displayed in green). On the other hand, if the Gross Score was 78, this score would also represent a Negative is better result, but because it is a high number it will be displayed in red.

Positive higher numbers are Better – If we look at another example such as the number of Fairways in Regulation, a high number would represent a Good target result, and a smaller or lower number would represent a Poor target result.

In this instance, if the number of Fairways in Regulation was 13, this number would represent a Positive is better result. The higher the number, the better it is (displayed in green).

On the other hand if the number of Fairways in Regulation was 6, this number would also represent a Positive is better result, but because it is a low number it would be displayed in red.

Every number in a Focus report will display results from Excellent, Just ok, Poor, and Bad in various colours (green, yellow, orange, red to purple). The large number in each cell is your result for this round and the small number in the bottom right corner is your current target.

If you tap on any of the colour boxes, you will be able to access a number of graphics, displaying the Gross Score and for example number of Fairways in Regulation comparing your current round to:

  1. Your most recent or past number of selected rounds,
  2. This Year’s Average,
  3. Last Year’s Average,
  4. Your Best scoring round,
  5. A selected round, (desired target, average result from a course being played) or results from certain weather conditions.

The score and the measured metric would be displayed including Good and poor results target in the top-right corner.

The past 50 round results of the metric being measured will also be displayed in a colour-coded bar chart with a legend displaying which colours represent a good or poor result.

To include a round that best describes how you want to play, tag that round with a descriptive name. For example, Selected, My Target or My Most Desired Game.

Tag the round when you played it with your chosen description and add it in the Focus Report.

This round will be your ‘Selected’ comparison round in all reports.
