Create tee, mid-point and pin position – On the course

The accuracy of your GPS co-ordinates cannot be guaranteed, as satellites are constantly moving from point to point. This means marked positions on the course will in some instances be differently positioned.

Tee locations should be prepared on the course, whilst all mid-points and centre of green locations can be prepared off the course.

If you choose to create the Tee, Mid-points (for par four dogleg or mid-point pivots for par fives) and centre of Green Pin locations on the course, follow the Off the Course procedure.

Walk to the first tee location that you would like to update.

Tap on the large satellite image, directly under the grey Tee Configuration tab. This will allow you to access any hole and any tee on the course. Alternatively tap on the smaller satellite images next to the holes, to access Edit Hole.

Tap on the image of a red satellite on the tee you would like to update. The satellite image of the course will appear.

A blue dot in a white circle will indicate that you are standing at the location of the first update. At the top of the satellite image screen a green or red accuracy indicator will appear. If it is red, accuracy is poor if it is green, it is good.

As you walk around the golf course with the specific purpose of mapping (not playing golf), rather than zooming into the selected hole and placing your finger on the screen and release, simply use the At Location button in the top right corner of the Map screen.

As you stand on each tee box, tap At Location for the first tee position and the Select Feature Location screen will appear. Tap on the selected tee or tees (which may include the blue match play tee) when the Set Tee Location screen appears.

If the blue GPS dot is in a different position, we suggest you revert to the long press of your finger on the screen and release to record your location.

Repeat this process for each of the different coloured Tees (black, blue, white, green, red, yellow, etc), before moving onto the fairway.

On a hole, when you commence marking the location of the Tee, the word Tee in the Set Tee Location screen, will turn from blue to red.  When every coloured Tee on the hole has been marked, the word Tee in the Set Tee Location screen, will turn from red to grey.

Follow the same procedure by tapping on the At Location button at each mid-point and finally tap the At Location button at the centre of the green.

Remember when you set your pin placements, always placed them in the middle of the green.

If your GPS accuracy is not acceptable, visualise where you are on the map, compare it with where you actually are on the course, and on the screen with a long press of your finger, press and release to mark your location.  Make the necessary changes and regularly tap Save in Course – (Name of your course) to update.

Remember, when you set your pin placements, always place them in the centre of the green.
