Edit hole – Update the details for every hole

Ask your golf club for all of your scorecards (men and women).

Using the blue Actions button in Tee Configuration, the procedure to Edit a hole is the same as when you add the par, index and distances to a tee or a new hole in Add New Hole.

By tapping on any hole number or any item on the hole number’s line, the cursor will move to the Edit Hole screen. You can pre-fill the hole par, index numbers and distances for every tee box.

Some clubs now provide an Alternative Index System (AIS) to the traditional Universal Indexing System (UIS) for all events other than Match Play events.

Under the Universal Indexing System (UIS) a player on a handicap of 19 receives an additional stroke on the hole showing index number 1. A player on a handicap of 20 receives an additional stroke on the hole showing index number 2, and so on.

Under the Alternative Indexing System (AIS) a player on a handicap of 19 will receive an additional stroke on a hole nominated by the club, and that hole may not be an index number 1 hole. The club may determine to provide players with a handicap of 19 and above with a completely different index route to the index numbers provided for the first 18 handicappers.

In addition, under the Alternative Indexing System (AIS) a ‘+’ handicap golfer will play all events other than Match Play events using their own indexing system. In this example, the ‘+’ handicap numbers

(in the highlighted section) is the index number for a + handicap golfer. The second third and fourth numbers are the index numbers used on this hole if the player is on a handicap of 6 (1 stroke), 26 (2 strokes) or 44 (3 strokes). Don’t forget to enter a / between each number +9/6/26/44.

On each hole, update the default par and index numbers once (on the first line), for all or the majority of the different tees on the hole. In this example, the purple boxed items for Par and Indexes are defaults for the Black, Blue, Green, and White tees, whereas the light blue boxed items for Match Play events indicate that these tees have different index numbers to the default tees.

In this instance, enter an Index number if a tee box index is different to the default and enter the distance for each tee colour in the area provided. Make the necessary updates or changes and tap Save. Repeat this for the remaining 18 holes including the 19th if one exists at your course.
