My Bag – Favourite clubs in my bag – The recovery stroke

watchMynumbers has included a default range of clubs in your ‘Favourite Clubs’ list, which can be found in, Favourite Clubs.

You will notice there is a club called the Recovery Stroke.

Do not delete this club. It is used to record any strokes made to recover from a bad lie or from behind a tree where you could only hit the ball sideways. A recovery stroke can also be a stroke with, say a five iron from very heavy rough, where the ball can only be advanced a very short distance.

Record this stroke as a ‘Recovery Stroke,’ so the average distance recorded for your five iron is not impacted by this sideways ‘recovery’ stroke.

Creating Your Player Profile

Tap the Player Profile button in the bottom right-hand corner to set up your Name, Year of birth and Gender.

Choose your measurement units for tees, fairways and greens

Select metres or yards for tees and fairways, and metres, yards, or feet for the greens.
