There are two ways to create a course after you pre-fill the hole, with the par, index numbers and distances for every tee box (black, blue, white, green, red, or other). You can map your course onsite, or at home, however we prefer the tee boxes be mapped on-course.
After installing the watchMynumbers app, we suggest you walk around the course you regularly play and record the GPS location for each tee box colour location. Then at home, you can easily record the mid-point of doglegs on par fives (and if necessary, par fours), and every centre of the green on every hole.
We recommend you don’t use the app to set up the course when you are playing your round.
If you are going to a course, you have never played, call the pro-shop, or search the web for a course map so you have an idea on how the holes progress through the course.
Alternatively, you can do the same at home using the app and Google Maps, though it will be less accurate. This is not however an impediment, as the pre-filled watchMynumbers scorecard distance will be amended to reflect the more accurate distance you encounter on the day when you play and tap At My Ball, as tees and flags are never in the same positions.
